Fra Diavolo (Italian for “Devil monk”) is the name given to a spicy sauce for pasta or seafood. Most versions are tomato-based and use chili peppers for spice, but the term is also used for sauces that include no tomato, or that use cayenne or other forms of pepper. This recipe TAKES SHRIMP TO A NEW DELISH LEVEL like never before!
Shrimp Fra Diavolo Recipe Shrimp Recipes
Ingredients:
- 1 Lb Large Shrimp (De Veined & Peeled)
- 28 Oz Crushed Tomatoes
- 4 Garlic Cloves fine sliced
- 2 Tablespoon Sliced Shallot
- 1/2 Cup White Wine
- 4 Tbsp Fresh Basil
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme
- 2 Tsp Fresh Rosemary
- 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 Tsp Ancho Chili Pepper
- 1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 4 Tbsp Fresh Chopped Parsley
- 3 Tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Sea Salt & Pepper to taste
- 8 oz Linguine

- Heat Deep walled saute pan – Med High with 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Add Garlic and Shallots – saute for a few minutes
- De-glaze with White Wine and add Crushed Tomato, herbs and seasoning (except Parsley & Salt/Pepper) – turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes
- Add Shrimp, Sea Salt & Pepper and simmer for about 4 minutes until Shrimp is cooked.
- Bring 5-6 quarts salted water to a boil and cook the Linguine until Al-Dente, drain
Serve Family Style and “Mangiare”
