Chickpea Salad Recipe Chickpeas Salad Recipes – It’s a Chickpea salad ON STEROIDS…try this super easy and super good Chickpea Salad recipe with On The Road Eats Falafel Seasoning!

The chickpea is high in protein and has been around for A LONG TIME. It is one of the earliest cultivated legumes and a staple in the Middle East from dips to Falafel. Here is what you need to make this Awesome Chickpea Salad Recipe…

Ingredients:

• 2 Tbsp On The Road Eats Falafel Seasoning

• 2 15 oz cans of chickpeas or 3 cups of cooked chickpeas

• 1 Bell Pepper (Use Red for Color) med dice

• 1 1/2 Cups fresh Italian Parsley (rough chop)

• 1/2 Cup red onion med dice

• 3 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil (EVOO)

• 3 Garlic Cloves minced

• 1/3 Cup Feta Cheese

Here is what cha do!

Cut all your veggies and mince your garlic.

In a large bowl combine the chickpeas, bell pepper, red onion, and Italian parsley. Mix thoroughly.

Add the olive oil and On The Road Eats Falafel Seasoning mix thoroughly cover and put in refrigerator for 1 hour.

Garnish with Feta Cheese and serve!

Serve as a side or this is a great Healthy Salad on its own…Big on Falafel flavor and Low on Salt = a Win Win Salad!

Easy Prime Rib Recipe

Best Prime Rib Recipe…Ya right Chef, tried this many times and not perfect. Ok I get it, try it my way and let me know the results! Super easy and trust me you will have a Perfect Prime Rib every time. Not only that, but an entire meal that is super easy to make.

Don’t believe me?…..Watch the video and then be prepared to make your family and friends the happiest people on the planet.
Cooking Through The Bible and Chef Reilly shares one of his favorite meals to make for the Holidays. This is a great family recipe that everyone will enjoy!

Easy Prime Rib Recipe

8 Lb Rib Roast Bone in
½ Cup Prime Rib Seasoning (Reilly’s Famous or your own)

Easy Prime Rib Seasoning (Reilly Style)

2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Pepper
3 Tbls Fresh Chopped Rosemary
3 Tbls Fresh Chopped Parsley
2 tsp Paprika

Directions:

Let the Prime Rib get to room temperature (Take out of refrigerator about 2 hours before cooking).
Combine the ingredients for the Rib Rub and Massage into meat. Make sure the ends are covered.
Place in Roasting pan Bone side down.
Cook at 500 degrees for the correct number of minutes per pound. Take your total LB x 5 to = the cooking time. So for this recipe 8 lb Rib Roast, we will roast at 500 degrees for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes turn the oven off and continue to cook for 2 hours. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR for the 2 hours! Should be 135 for Med Rare
Once the 2 hrs is up take the rib roast out of the oven and let sit for 20 minutes before carving.

Creamy Horseradish Sauce

3 cups sour cream
4 Oz fresh finely chopped horse-radish
1/2 cup chopped fresh chives
4 Fresh Garlic Cloves Chopped
Salt & Pepper To Taste

Directions:

Chop the horseradish, chives and garlic.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Add salt and pepper to taste
Refrigerate for 1 hr before serving

Au Jus

1 Cup Chopped Carrots
1 Cup Chopped Celery
2 Cup Chopped Onion
3 Cup Beef Stock
Pan drippings from the Prime Rib Roasting Pan

Directions:

Take Prime Rib out of roasting pan and place on stove top.

Turn burners on Med and add Carrots, Celery and Onions to the pan. Sauté for 5 minutes.
Add the beef broth and simmer for 10 minutes until liquid is reduced by 1/3
Strain the Au Jus in a strainer with cheese cloth keeping the liquid and discarding the vegetables

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

4 Lb Red Potatoes
1 Cup Roasted Garlic
1/2 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
2 cup olive oil
1/2 Cup Fresh Chopped Parsley
Salt and Pepper To Taste

Directions:

Boil the red potatoes until done. Drain and put in mixer or bowl.
Roast garlic in olive oil until roasted and golden brown. Save the olive oil and add some of it with the roasted garlic to potato. (The left over olive oil can be saved and used for salad dressing or cooking vegetables).
Add the Butter, Heavy Cream, Garlic and Parsley and mix until incorporated.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

Fresh Vegetable Medley

3 Cup Baby or Petite Carrots
3 Cup Baby or Petite Zucchini
2 Tbls Olive Oil
1 Bunch Green Onion
Salt and Pepper To Taste

Directions:

Get sauté pan hot and add oil
Sauté for 5 to 10 minutes until vegetables are cooked.
Add salt and pepper to taste
Serve immediately.

Best Prime Rib Recipe – This is a wonderful dish for Holidays or anytime throughout the year. Invite friends and family over to share this Perfect Prime Rib and they will be talking about if for years to come.

Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping. Almost anything you can imagine is for sale in the Old City of Jerusalem.

…but after all that walking I’m hungry and can’t wait for the best Shawarma in Jerusalem. This is one of my must stops every time I am in Israel.

Plenty of seating upstairs, outside and across the walk way! A place great for Individuals like me or Groups!

If you are a true foodie like me you love FRESH anything that is prepared with local organic ingredients, and you can’t get any better than the salads and Eggplant!

I told you the BEST Shawarma in Jerusalem! But if your not into Shwarma, try the Falafel or Veggie Pizza all are super good!

Has been a Family FAVORITE for 3 generations and counting. My grandfather fell in love with Jericho not only for the food, but the People. Some of the most hospitable, generous, friendly in all the WORLD.

With a distance of only 15 miles from Jerusalem, Jericho is a must stop on your trip to Israel.

Jericho, the “City of Palms,” is said to be the oldest city in the world.

…and the city with the oldest known protective wall in the world. In the Bible the Israelites destroyed the Bronze Age wall of Jericho by walking around it with the Ark of the Covenant for seven days.

After you see the sites and maybe a camel ride, you need to stop in and enjoy some of the BEST food in all the Middle East!
